World Champion PV Sindhu Arrived at The National Capital

PV Sindhu arrived at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi Delhi on Tuesday midnight amid big fans after its historic world championship victories. Twice the silver medalist PV Sindhu was waiting for mysterious gold with the first World Championship title on Sunday. The country’s capital PV Sindhu thanked her coaches for her historic success in a brief conversation with the media. The 24-year-old girl from Hyderabad also said, this is a great moment for her and is really proud to be an Indian.

“I want to thank everyone and thank all my fans for the blessings. I am more hardworking and have more medals. The most eagerly awaited victory, 2 times missing, but in the end I did it, “PV Sindhu said.

“It was a great moment for me. I am very proud to be an Indian, “she said.

Sindhu became the first Indian to win a gold medal in the world championship by defeating Nozomi Okuharan 21-7, 21-7, a familiar opponent.

In the 2017 and 2018 finals of the Okuhara, the Olympic champion Spain’s Carolina Marin, who lost to the third time, was fortunate to win the silver twice.

Sindhu has received criticism for being short of major events summit clashes since the 2016 Rio Olympics from the second place to Meron.

Two years ago, Okuhara refused gold to Sindhu after 110 minutes of epic finale, which was one of the greatest battles in badminton history.

The Indian lost to Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and Jakarta Asian Games finals twice, along with the world championship. She was also the runner-up at the Thailand Open and India Open last year.

She is the fifth medal in the World championship. She won bronze each in 2013 and 2014 editions.

Sindhu is now the highest medal winner in women’s singles in World championship history, with the former Olympic champion China’s Ng Tang Ning, who won 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze alike between 2001 and 2007.
