Two of the biggest fixed-line broadband players in India, Airtel V-Fiber and Reliance Jio fiber are preparing to battle to attract new customers. Reliance Jio has created all its plans for Jio fiber and bundled services and also promises multimedia services combined with free voice and video calling. Airtel also got a good response in the form of Airtel XStream box and a free subscription to OTT packs. Jio Fiber Basic plans start at a speed of 100 Mbps, but is aggressive with the benefits that Airtel offers.

Jio Fiber Launch has shifted the existing broadband space in India. Many players are expected to challenge the Jio fiber in the coming months to retain their place in the market. Let us look at the offerings of JioFiber and compare it with its nearest rival Airtel V-fiber.

Airtel V-Fiber: The biggest competitor of Jiofiber in the Indian market is Bharti Airtel with its Airtel v-fiber broadband service. It offers lightning-fast speeds of up to 100Mbps. In Delhi, Airtel v-Fiber monthly plans start from RS 799 to internet speeds of 40 Mbps and 100 GB of broadband data. The 100 Mbps plan known as ‘ entertainment ‘ begins from 1,099 rupees per month with 300GB broadband data. The plan offers a subscription for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Zee 5 and Airtel XStream for free. The company has RS 1,599 ‘ premium ‘ and 1,999 ‘ VIP ‘ plan which includes speeds up to 300 Mbps and 100 Mbps respectively. The RS 1,999 plan does not come with a data limit. All Airtel V-Fiber plans offer additional data benefits with a validity of 6 months.

It also offers an Android-powered STB called Airtel XStream Box and Airtel XStream stick. Like the JioFiber STB, Airtel’s Xstream box can also relay content from OTT sources and standard cable channels.

Reliance Jio Fiber: Reliance Jio Fiber plans to start from Rs 699 to Rs 8,499, and offer high-speed internet and free voice calls. Base ‘ bronze ‘ Rs. The 699 plan offers 100 Mbps speed and offers ‘ platinum ‘ and ‘ Titanium ‘ 1 Gbps speed in top-tier plans. Most of Jio’s tariff plans come with additional data, gaming, networking services, and device security. Reliance Jio also offers a silver plan of Rs 849 at a speed of 100 Mbps. The RS 2499 Diamond plan offers 500 Mbps speed with 1250 GB data. The RS 3999 Platinum plan offers 1 Gbps speed and 2500 GB data. These plans come with VR headset and offer first day-first show movies and other premium content.
